Medical laboratory Nurse / Phlebotomist

Position Overview

You will work in the front office and closely with the Laboratory team to provide the best service and care to our patients. Ensure efficient phlebotomy and deliver excellent customer service aligned with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes
• Perform, collect, and label lab tests for sending to the Laboratory
• Collect blood and specimen samples from patients and donors, labeling all collected samples accurately for tests
• Enter patient data into an electronic medical record (EMR/LIMS)
• Protect patient privacy rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal and financial information
• Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment after use
• Process, organize, label, and transport specimens for laboratory testing
• Maintain frequent communication with the Laboratory team

Education Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing, Phlebotomy, or related field
• BSc and above (preferred)
• 1–3 years proven experience

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Professional certification in phlebotomy from a recognized program
• Current vaccination status
• Ability to successfully draw blood from patients with minimal or no complications
• Empathy and strong interpersonal skills for working with patients
• Detail-oriented with commitment to ensuring patient confidentiality
• Excellent motor skills and ability to stand for long periods
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Data entry and computer skills
• Strong attention to detail
