About the Role

We are hiring a dedicated Mechanical Technician for a reputable organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or production environment and be skilled in handling various mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of mechanical systems
• Maintain and service rotating equipment, conveyors, mixers, pumps, and filling machines
• Read mechanical drawings and interpret equipment manuals
• Work on-site in industrial settings to ensure equipment optimal performance
• Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines

Educational Requirements

• Trade Test Certificate or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing or production environment
• Experience with rotating equipment, conveyors, mixers, pumps, and filling machines (desirable)

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of mechanical systems
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret equipment manuals
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Knowledge of FFS machines
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, Air Handling Units (AHUs), and humidifiers (advantageous)
