Mechanical Engineer

An established company is recruiting for the following position. Position Overview: - Harvest Feeds and Agro Processing Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical equipment within our agro-processing and industrial facility. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient plant operations, minimize downtime, and support continuous production improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Operate, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and production machinery - Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting - Diagnose mechanical faults and implement corrective actions promptly - Ensure optimal performance of processing, drying, and conveying systems - Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical reports - Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards - Support installation and commissioning of new equipment - Work closely with production and management teams to improve efficiency - Train technicians and operators on proper equipment handling Requirements: - BSc / HND in Mechanical Engineering or related field - 3–5 years’ relevant experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or factory setting - Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance practices, and safety standards - Ability to troubleshoot under pressure and meet production timelines - Good documentation and reporting skills - Strong communication and teamwork abilities - Preferably Male Added Advantage - Experience in agro-processing or food/feed manufacturing plants - Knowledge of dryers, boilers, conveyors, and processing equipment - Certification in industrial maintenance or safety-related courses
