Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Key Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities across production, utility, and process equipment. - Develop and implement preventive, corrective, and planned maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance. - Troubleshoot mechanical issues and lead the resolution of breakdowns to minimize downtime and maintain production flow. - Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, and spare part usage. - Assess equipment condition and recommend or initiate modifications to enhance reliability and efficiency. - Oversee mechanical technicians, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to maintenance protocols and safety standards. - Identify training needs and develop appropriate technical training programs for technicians and operators. - Report on the performance of mechanical systems and escalate issues requiring strategic decisions to the Engineering Manager/Supervisor. - Collaborate with production and other departments to support the achievement of production targets. - Ensure efficient use and budget control of mechanical spares, consumables, and tools. Key Requirements - HND/B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering. - Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment. - Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment across utility, process, and production areas. - experience in PPM of any Industrial equipment, such hydraulic or Pneumatics, Gear boxes, Conveying systems, basic pumps and machine fitters, Fillers , Packaging machines , Can plant , Processing. Powder plant , Mayonnaise and powder filling. - Practical experience in managing maintenance teams and coordinating technical activities. - Ability to analyze technical issues and recommend practical solutions to reduce downtime. - Basic understanding of power distribution systems and production equipment planning. - Proficient in maintenance planning, recordkeeping, and reporting.
