## Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic and expanding team. You will be responsible for designing, modeling, and developing automotive components and systems that meet performance, safety, cost, and quality requirements. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to support new product development, design modifications, prototype testing, and transition to mass production. You will ensure that designs adhere to automotive standards, manufacturability constraints, and customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and model automotive components and systems using CAD tools
  • Develop and optimize product designs to meet performance, safety, cost, and quality requirements
  • Support prototype development and participate in testing and validation processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with automotive standards
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in design processes

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in automotive or manufacturing industries
  • Experience designing sheet metal, plastic parts, castings, or machined components
  • Hands-on exposure to DFMEA, GD&T, DFM/DFA, and engineering validation processes
  • Advanced certification in CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO) is an advantage

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and engineering drawing standards
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities
  • Understanding of automotive materials and manufacturing processes (stamping, casting, injection molding, welding)
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Creativity and innovation in design approach
  • Attention to detail and critical engineering judgment
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Adaptability in fast-paced environments
