MEAL Officer at Development Exchange Centre (DEC)

Position Summary

The MEAL Officer will ensure that projects are routinely monitored, with data collected, managed, and analyzed to improve program outputs. Working under the guidance of the Head, KMC, the MEAL Officer will contribute to the development of MEAL plans and ensure their implementation across assigned projects. In close coordination with implementing partners and relevant government departments, the officer will gather information to monitor programme outputs and outcomes in target communities, support output tracking and reporting on DEC-designated digital platforms, and ensure accountability mechanisms are in place.

Key Responsibilities

Monitoring

• Track core programme indicators, conduct meta-analysis, and communicate findings monthly and quarterly to the programme team
• Ensure that standard operating procedures and programme common approaches are followed for data collection, processing, and analysis
• Provide technical support to core programmes and ensure availability of reporting forms and tools
• Organize and conduct routine monitoring and evaluation of programmes and projects in collaboration with core teams, community members, implementing partners, and beneficiaries
• Conduct monthly and quarterly monitoring and evaluation facility and field visits
• Act as the focal point for receiving and channeling beneficiary feedback

Evaluation & Reporting

• Support preparation of key programme reports and assist in documenting programme progress
• Update and manage programme reporting on DEC-designated online and digital platforms
• Provide MEAL support to implementing partners in program monitoring and evaluation management
• Promote networking with programme stakeholders
