Job Summary

Golden Oil Industries Limited seeks a dedicated Meal Finishing Operator to manage, supervise, and control industrial production processes. This role ensures production targets and quality standards are met while overseeing staffing requirements and providing direction to production team members for operational effectiveness.

Key Result Areas

• Efficient and effective stock taking
• Careful handling of meal bagging production
• Adequate supervision of manpower
• Proper stacking of meal (FIFO) and gangway organization
• Prompt attention to maintenance needs
• Accuracy and adequacy of records

Production & Housekeeping Responsibilities

• Operate the meal bagging machine and supervise the entire production process
• Ensure accuracy of bag weights
• Meet daily production targets
• Oversee daily stock taking
• Ensure proper housekeeping of the warehouse/storage facility
• Supervise laborers and meal bagging during production
• Maintain proper stacking of meal following FIFO principles and organize gangways
• Promptly call maintenance personnel when equipment breakdowns occur during production

People Management Responsibilities

• Arrange and ensure availability of production casual employees
• Coach and train casual employees on your shift, ensuring proper supervision of their work and activities including housekeeping, product arrangements, and production activities
• Ensure zero incidents of truancy
• Guide casual employees on safe machinery use and proper procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.Eng. or HND) in Mechanical Engineering or Sciences
• 3 to 5 years of proven production work experience
• Deep knowledge of production management
• Experience reporting on key production metrics
• Familiarity with ISO, GMP, and HACCP standards
