Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and present lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application of mathematical concepts
• Prepare and distribute learning materials such as notes, assignments, and quizzes
• Source resources and supplies needed for lessons
• Support and motivate students to achieve their full potential
• Effectively manage student behavior and maintain classroom discipline
• Engage in curriculum development and planning activities, both individually and as part of a team
• Oversee assigned out-of-classroom activities during the school day as needed
• Ensure the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning
• Grade assignments and quizzes in a timely manner
• Invigilate quizzes and final examinations
• Document and report on students' progress
• Attend meetings with parents and staff members
• Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or superintendent

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (BEd), Bachelor of Science (BSc), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of proven experience teaching Mathematics
• Thorough understanding of best practices in teaching
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional expression
• Organized and flexible disposition

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree (MSc or MBA)
