## Title: Maintenance Planning Engineer
About the Role
We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Maintenance Planning Engineer.
Purpose of the Job
Oversee plant maintenance planning activity and routinely monitor plant equipment to ensure operational efficiency and minimize downtime.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute short-term and long-term maintenance planning activities at the plant, including shutdown planning
- Plan and coordinate minor and major overhauls as well as routine inspections
- Maximize plant shutdown efficiency to minimize revenue loss
- Participate in the development and articulation of annual operating plans, monthly operating plans, and other operational plans
- Formulate plant maintenance policies and strategies aligned with plant objectives
- Ensure timely availability of materials and tools for preventive and corrective maintenance
- Conduct routine monitoring of plant equipment and maintain accurate records
- Prepare periodic reports for the Head of Generation
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Generation
Minimum Educational & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, OR
- Higher National Diploma (HND) with COREN-accredited Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) plus Master's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution
- Full membership registration with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) or related specialized engineering certification
- Minimum of six (6) years of substantial, practical, post-qualifying hands-on working experience in planning, design, and construction
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in relevant discipline such as Master's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Management from a recognized tertiary institution
