Maintenance Planner / Scheduler I at Scruples Resources

About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual to take responsibility for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance activities. In this role, you will demonstrate a strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental requirements (SHE), work selection criteria, work planning, norms estimating, procurement practices, business practices and controls, and contractor interface management. You will excel at scheduling work tasks to ensure efficient resource utilization and coordinate effectively between operations, material availability, construction equipment support, and labor crew composition and assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize SAFETY across all planning and scheduling activities
• Participate in planning with Core/Work Teams
• Plan and schedule all Routine Maintenance work as required
• Work with Planner in developing schedule, cost estimates, and equipment planning for Routine work during the Turnaround window
• Plan complex jobs and develop resource plans with Scheduler, Execution Lead, and Operations across all disciplines
• Identify and monitor critical and sub-critical paths for major events
• Apply advanced functions of Planning & Estimating Tools as applicable to the position
• Educate field execution personnel on look-ahead schedules and help ensure timely work progression
• Provide input to maintenance work Contracting/Procurement strategy and steward to that plan
• Resolve scheduling issues including Negative Float, Out-of-sequence updates, resource overloads, scope change, and progress validation
• Develop complete job plans with materials, resources, and timelines
• Provide input into material and construction selection and management
• Plan, estimate, track, and schedule maintenance activities
