Maintenance Planner / Scheduler I at Nautilus Nigeria Engineering and Construction Limited

About the Role

Nautilus Nigeria Engineering and Construction Limited is recruiting a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler I to take responsibility for planning and scheduling all maintenance activities. This role requires a strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements, work selection criteria, work planning, estimating norms, procurement practices, business controls, and contractor interface management. You will excel at scheduling work tasks to ensure efficient resource utilization and coordinate seamlessly between operations, materials, construction equipment support, and labor teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety as the top priority in all planning and scheduling activities
• Participate in planning sessions with core and work teams
• Plan and schedule routine maintenance work as required
• Develop schedules, cost estimates, and equipment planning for routine work during turnaround windows in collaboration with planners
• Plan complex jobs and develop comprehensive resource plans with schedulers, execution leads, and operations teams across all disciplines
• Identify and monitor critical and sub-critical paths for major events
• Apply advanced planning and estimating tools as applicable to the position
• Educate field execution personnel on look-ahead schedules and ensure timely work progression
• Provide input on maintenance work contracting and procurement strategy
• Resolve scheduling challenges including negative float, out-of-sequence updates, resource overloads, scope changes, and progress validation
• Develop complete job plans incorporating materials, resources, and timelines
• Provide input on construction material selection and management
• Plan, estimate, track, and schedule field operations
