Maintenance Engineer / Specialist I at Scruples Resources

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Maintenance Engineer/Specialist to join our team in Lagos. In this position, you will be responsible for the technical management of site systems and the delivery of high-quality maintenance solutions while maintaining strict safety and operational standards.

Main Functions

• Provide technical management of site systems including maintenance, repairs, and inspections of assigned areas
• Deliver maintenance projects for new and modified facilities
• Analyze operations data to identify, develop, and implement continuous improvements resulting in increased quality and lower operating costs
• Champion Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) on site projects including Loss Prevention System (LPS) implementation
• Execute best practices maintenance techniques to deliver high-quality facility management while maintaining oversight in oil systems, safety, and controls
• Manage execution of maintenance activities through outside contractors

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) projects to a high level of quality within safety, oil system, and control expectations
• Develop project scope, cost estimates, schedules, and implementation plans for maintenance projects to improve facility systems including all SSHE requirements and customer interfaces
• Develop and steward project budgets
• Participate in project planning and permitting as required
• Develop, implement, and monitor operations procedures for maintenance and repair activities
• Implement maintenance processes in accordance with eManual and operating procedures
• Analyze operational data for trends and opportunities to improve both planned and reactive maintenance resulting in optimum value
• Manage execution of M&R activities within designated budgets
• Monitor and analyze site utility spend and usage
• Perform other field maintenance and engineering duties as required
