About the Role

Under the supervision of the Logistics Site Manager (LSM), the Logistician 1 provides technical and operational support in purchasing, warehousing, stock management, and statistics, in accordance with ICRC logistics standards and local legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth coordination across logistics units (Fleet, Transport, Warehouse, Procurement)
• Ensure compliance with ICRC logistics procedures and security rules
• Provide logistical support to field sites under the supervision of the LSM
• Provide technical support and training for the operation and implementation of logistic procedures
• Liaise with other logistics units in MIU (Supply Chain, Fleet, Warehousing, Dispatch, AirOps)
• Ensure ICRC procurement rules are applied
• Analyze situations and propose contractual partners
• Develop contracts, maintain, and update a network of providers
• Follow up on all work-related messages and correspondence with relevant contacts and departments
• Ensure ICRC Logistics systems are in place and operational
• Manage proper use of Logistics Information System (JD Edwards, Integrated Resources Information System IRIS)
• Ensure compliance with Logistics standards (set-up, processes, and procedures) and economic use of all resources
• Ensure compliance with security rules and regulations pertinent to Logistics
• Contribute to the development and advancement of Logistics

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent higher education degree in business administration, logistics, or similar field
• Minimum 6 years of experience in logistics, administration, or similar position
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Computer skills and familiarity with logistics information systems
