Loan Officer at HerVest

Position Overview

HerVest is expanding its dynamic team and seeking a talented Loan Officer to join our Lagos office. In this role, you will be responsible for originating, processing, and closing loans for individuals, businesses, and organizations. This position requires strong communication and sales skills, combined with the ability to analyze financial data and make sound credit decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate new loan applications through networking, marketing, and referrals
• Gather financial information from applicants, including credit reports, income statements, and asset documentation
• Analyze financial data to determine creditworthiness and make recommendations for loan approval or denial
• Present loan options and terms to applicants, and answer questions about the loan process
• Process loan applications, including ordering appraisals, title reports, and other necessary documentation
• Coordinate with underwriters, closers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth loan processing and closing
• Communicate with applicants and other parties throughout the loan process, providing updates and resolving issues as needed
• Meet or exceed monthly loan production targets as established by management
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and company policies, and apply this knowledge to improve loan origination and processing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of experience in loan origination, processing, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of loan products, credit policies, and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills
• Ability to analyze financial data and make sound credit decisions
• Proficiency in loan origination software and other relevant technology

Compensation & Location

Salary: ₦200,000 net

Location: Yaba, Lagos, Nigeria
