Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Licensed Lawyer to join our growing legal team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive legal counsel, manage a diverse caseload, and represent clients with professionalism, integrity, and strategic insight. Responsibilities

• Prepare all necessary legal documents for case filings, including briefs, motions, and other court submissions
• Schedule and conduct depositions of witnesses and expert witnesses
• Conduct comprehensive legal research, including analysis of legal principles, case law, judicial opinions, statutes, and regulatory requirements
• Apply accurate legal citation standards and conduct thorough statutory interpretation to support written analyses and legal arguments
• Ensure the accuracy and proper organization of all case files, documentation, notes, and reports
• Engage in negotiations to achieve favorable outcomes that satisfy the strategic goals of the firm while addressing client interests
• Ensure that all parties comply with court-ordered judgments and fulfill required fines or penalties
• Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, lawsuits, deeds, wills, and appeals

Requirements

• LL.B Degree and B.L from the Nigerian Law School
• First class or 2.1 certificate from the university
• Minimum of 6 months of post-call legal practice experience
• Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)
• Strong knowledge of corporate law, litigation, and regulatory compliance
• Excellent legal drafting, research, and analytical skills
• Ability to represent clients effectively in court and in negotiations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of the Head of Legal
