Legal Manager

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Position Overview: - We are looking for a highly competent and experienced Legal Manager to provide legal advisory support, manage legal risk, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. - The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s legal affairs, advising management on legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance of the company with laws, regulations, and corporate governance within the Nigerian financial services sector. Key Responsibilities:   - Provide legal advice to management on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and financial services matters. - Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, agreements, policies, and other legal documents. - Identify and mitigate legal risks associated with the company’s operations and strategic initiatives. - Handle litigation, dispute resolution and recovery matters, including coordination with external solicitors. - Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise management accordingly. Requirements: /Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) - Call to Bar (B.L) certification/license to practice law - Membership with a recognized Chartered Governance Institute (e.g., ICSAN, ICSA) is highly desirable - Minimum of 7 – 10 years post-qualification experience, preferably in financial services, banking, or corporate law - Strong background in commercial law, corporate law, and regulatory compliance - High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism - Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills Salary  Competitive and commensurate with experience
