Legal & Compliance Officer

Position Overview: - We are seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Legal Counsel to support the organization’s legal, contractual, and governance activities. - The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, advising internal stakeholders on legal risks, and ensuring regulatory and corporate compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, Service Level Agreements, vendor/supplier contracts, and Data Processing Agreements. - Provide practical legal advisory support to business teams, identifying contractual risks and guiding commercial decision-making. - Develop, maintain, and enhance contract templates, standard clauses, and legal playbooks to ensure consistency and risk mitigation. - Support data protection and privacy initiatives, including conducting DPIAs and reviewing data processing arrangements for compliance. - Assist with corporate governance activities, including preparation of board resolutions, powers of attorney, and maintenance of statutory registers. - Manage external counsel engagements, monitor legal spend, and support litigation, dispute resolution, and pre-litigation matters. - Collaborate with the Compliance function to draft policies and provide regulatory advisory support, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and industry standards.
