Legal and Compliance Officer at Reftop Homes Limited

About the Role

Reftop Homes Limited is seeking a qualified Legal and Compliance Officer to join our team in Lagos, Nigeria. This on-site position is based in Sangotedo and offers the opportunity to support our real estate operations while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and manage legal documents including contracts, agreements, MoUs, deeds, and compliance filings
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies across all business units
• Support property transactions by conducting due diligence, reviewing title documents, and advising on legal risks
• Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and government agencies where required
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting real estate and corporate operations and advise management accordingly
• Maintain proper records of legal and compliance documentation
• Support dispute resolution, claims management, and litigation coordination
• Provide legal guidance to management and internal teams on operational and compliance matters

Required Qualifications

• Law degree (LL.B) and valid call to the Nigerian Bar
• 2–5 years post-call experience (real estate, corporate, or in-house experience is advantageous)
• Strong knowledge of real estate law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance
