Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following qualification pathways:

Pathway 1: Ph.D. Holders

• Ph.D. or equivalent qualification
• Minimum three years as Lecturer II or Librarian II
• Minimum 25 points in admissible publications
• Minimum 45 points in Job Appraisal
• Minimum five (5) publications

Pathway 2: Specialized Medical/Scientific Fields

• Ph.D. holder in Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine, or Veterinary Medicine, OR
• Fellowship in Medicine with registration by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) or Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN)

Pathway 3: Master's Degree Holders

• Master's Degree qualification
• Minimum three years as Lecturer II or Librarian II
• Minimum 30 points in admissible publications
• Minimum five (5) citations
• Minimum 45 points in Job Appraisal
• Minimum six (6) publications

Additional Requirements

• Current membership in relevant professional body/bodies
• Minimum two (2) points in Academic Leadership or Administrative Responsibility
• Visibility on academic platforms (Google Scholar or Research Gate) with minimum five (5) citations

Entry Level

Candidates taking up a teaching appointment at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti for the first time may enter at a maximum rank of Lecturer I.
