• Ph.D. or equivalent qualification, with a minimum of three years' service as Lecturer II/Librarian II, admissible publications totaling not less than twenty-five (25) points, and forty-five (45) points in Job Appraisal; OR
• Master's Degree with a minimum of three years' service as Lecturer II/Librarian II, admissible publications totaling not less than thirty (30) points, citations not less than five (5), and forty-five (45) points in Job Appraisal

Publication and Academic Record:

• Minimum of five (5) publications (for Ph.D. holders) or six (6) publications (for Master's Degree holders)
• Citations not less than five (5) on Google Scholar or ResearchGate
• Visible profile on Google Scholar or ResearchGate

Professional Standing:

• Up-to-date membership in relevant professional body/bodies
• Minimum of two (2) points in Academic Leadership/Administrative Responsibility

Entry Level:

• Applicants taking up a teaching appointment at the University for the first time will enter at no higher than the rank of Lecturer I
