Job Summary
The Security Monitoring & Operations Lead is responsible for leading Hydrogen's security monitoring, incident response, and threat intelligence operations. The role oversees 24/7 monitoring activities, investigates suspicious security events, manages SOC tools and technologies, and ensures effective detection, analysis, and remediation of security incidents. This position provides strategic leadership to the SOC team, drives continuous improvement, and ensures full visibility and protection across the organization's IT and multi-cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee 24/7 monitoring, investigation, response, and remediation of security incidents
- Lead threat intelligence programs and forensic investigations
- Develop and maintain SOC procedures and protocols
- Coordinate with IT and global security teams
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and security metrics
- Support audits and compliance activities
- Drive continuous improvement across security operations
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Master's degree in related field (advantageous)
- Professional certifications such as GCIH, CISA, CISSP, CISM, CEH, CHFI, CCNA, or OSCP (advantageous)
Technical Proficiency
- Strong knowledge of threats, intrusion techniques, and attack vectors
- Expert understanding of SOC technologies and platforms
- Experience with SIEM systems and security device management
- Proficiency with operating systems, applications, and databases
- Advanced skills in forensic analysis of network traffic, packets, and log files
Analytical & Operational Expertise
- Skilled in incident management and vulnerability assessment
- Proficient in threat modeling and risk-based security analysis
- Ability to prepare dashboards, reports, documentation, and compliance materials
