## Title: Lead Procurement Officer

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. A Lead Procurement Officer is a senior leader responsible for an organization's entire procurement strategy and operations, from sourcing and cost management to risk mitigation and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement long-term procurement strategies to ensure the company obtains the best value from suppliers while supporting business goals such as cost savings, sustainability, and innovation
  • Negotiate contracts, handle disputes, and build strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure quality and reliability
  • Supervise purchasing managers, buyers, and other procurement staff, ensuring the team meets performance targets
  • Monitor spending, identify cost savings opportunities, and assist departments in staying within budget without compromising quality
  • Ensure all purchasing complies with legal, ethical, and company standards, and identify supply chain risks before they become problems
  • Support the company's sustainability and ESG goals through ethical sourcing and sustainable procurement practices
  • Investigate new vendors, evaluate their products or services, negotiate pricing, and establish trustworthy relationships
