Position Overview: - We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lawyer to join our organization. - The ideal candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of providing sound legal advice and representation across a range of legal and regulatory matters. Key Responsibilities: - Provide legal advice and opinions on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters - Handle SCUML registrations, reporting, and ongoing AML/CFT compliance requirements - Manage AGIS-related filings, documentation, and liaison with relevant government agencies - Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal docents - Represent the organization in court proceedings, arbitrations, and negotiations where required - Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies - Liaise with regulators, external counsel, and government agencies - Identify and manage legal and regulatory risks - Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization. Requirements: - Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor`s Degree - Minimum of 7–12 years post-call experience - Must be called to the Nigerian Bar - Strong knowledge of Nigerian laws and legal procedures - Demonstrable experience with SCUML (Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering) compliance and registrations - Working knowledge of AGIS (Abuja Geographic Information Systems) and government-related documentation - Experience in regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management - Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills - High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality - Strong analytical and communication skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple legal matters efficiently.
