Laundry Specialist / Attendant at Musada Hotels and Luxury Suites

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Laundry Specialist to join our team at a luxury hotel. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and care for all linens, uniforms, and guest laundry items.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, and fold clothes, uniforms, bed linens, and other items according to established standards and fabric care instructions
• Inspect items for stains and apply appropriate procedures to remove them effectively
• Operate industrial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment with proper use of chemicals
• Inspect items for damage such as tears and wear, and perform minor sewing or mending as needed
• Clean and maintain the laundry room area and perform routine equipment checks
• Follow and enforce health, safety, and sanitation guidelines in the laundry area

Required Qualifications

• SSCE, GCE, or NECO qualification
• 1 – 3 years of work experience in laundry operations

Required Skills and Attributes

• Physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods
• Strong attention to detail for sorting items correctly, identifying stains, and performing quality checks
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and process large volumes of laundry
• Good interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers
• Basic understanding of different fabric types and their specific care requirements
