Laundry Attendant

We are seeking an experienced professional for this opening. Position Overview: - We are seeking a meticulous and responsible Laundry Attendant to manage our linen and garment care operations. - In a medical environment, the cleanliness of bedsheets, surgical scrubs, and patient gowns is critical for infection control and patient comfort. Key Responsibilities: - Linen Processing: Wash, dry, and iron hospital linens, including bedsheets, pillowcases, towels, and uniforms, ensuring they meet hygiene standards. - Equipment Maintenance: Safely operate industrial washing machines, dryers, and steam irons. This includes following specific manufacturer instructions (e.g., ensuring water levels in steam irons) to prevent damage. - Stain & Infection Control: Treat stained fabrics and follow strict protocols for handling "soiled" or contaminated linens. - Quality Control: Inspect all items for tears or damage after cleaning and report any equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately. - Inventory Management: Organize and restock clean linens in the appropriate wards and storage areas to ensure a steady supply for clinical staff. Requirements: - Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma (SSCE). - Experience: Previous experience in a commercial laundry or hospital setting is highly preferred. - Technical Skill: Proficiency in using steam irons and industrial laundry equipment. - Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy loads of laundry. - Attitude: A strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and the ability to work without constant supervision.
