Land Surveyor, Entry Level at Goteh Construction

Position Overview

Goteh Construction seeks a Land Surveyor to assist in managing and coordinating surveys and investigations of land surfaces. You will ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while providing critical surveying expertise to support our construction operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and coordinating surveys and investigations of land surfaces
• Ensure accurate measurements of ground features, including small and large-scale distances, angles, and elevations
• Gather data on the earth's physical and man-made features through surveys
• Assist in supervising and utilize digital mapping and data processing
• Apply geographical information systems (GIS) to analyze and interpret site features
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) and other IT software to interpret data and present information
• Prepare survey maps, plans, and exhibits
• Provide surveying expertise to resolve specialized surveying challenges
• Meet with civil and design engineers to determine pertinent information required for project plans
• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites

Qualifications and Requirements

• First Degree from a recognized University in Land Surveying
• 3 years' post-NYSC experience conducting land surveys in the field
• Ability to perform horizontal and vertical survey calculations
• Ability to work effectively with design engineers, clients, and contractors
• Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in land surveying
• Strong experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals independently
• Ability to lead and direct teams for improved productivity
• Self-starter with personal commitment to continuous professional development
