About the Role

Petcare Animal Hospital is seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Laboratory Scientist to join our diagnostics team. The ideal candidate will perform accurate laboratory tests, maintain quality control, and support veterinarians in delivering excellent medical care to pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests including hematology, urinalysis, parasitology, microbiology, and chemistry analyses
• Analyze samples and report results accurately and promptly
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly
• Ensure proper sample collection, handling, labeling, and storage
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
• Uphold strict quality control and safety standards
• Assist veterinarians with diagnostic interpretations where necessary
• Manage laboratory inventory and report shortages of supplies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment

Required Qualifications

• BMLS or B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
• Experience in laboratory diagnostics
• Passionate, hardworking, and detail-oriented approach to work
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and basic computer applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Veterinary laboratory experience
• Residence in or around Ikeja
