Laboratory Scientist

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent. Role Description - This is a full-time, on-site Laboratory Scientist role based in Lagos, Nigeria. The Laboratory Scientist will perform diagnostic tests and analyze samples to aid in detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. - Key responsibilities include preparing and conducting laboratory investigations, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test results. The role also involves adhering to laboratory safety standards and contributing to internal and external quality assurance programs. Required Qualifications: - Proficiency in laboratory diagnostics, sample analysis, and test result interpretation - Knowledge of laboratory equipment handling and maintenance - Experience ensuring quality control and compliance with safety standards - Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, and analytical skills - Effective communication skills for reporting and collaborating within a team - Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field - Registration with a recognized professional body (e.g., Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria) and a valid practicing license - Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is an advantage
