- Clinix Healthcare is seeking an experienced and dedicated Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our medical team in Abule Egba. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of laboratory tests on blood, urine, tissue, and other specimens in accordance with established protocols and clinical standards.
- Collect, process, and analyze samples accurately while ensuring specimen quality and integrity.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Validate test results, interpret findings, and report critical results promptly to physicians and healthcare providers.
- Conduct quality control procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in inventory management of reagents, supplies, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
- Participate in infection control, biosafety measures, and respond appropriately to any laboratory emergencies.
- Requirements & Skills
- Experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist with a valid practicing license.
- Strong technical skills in areas such as hematology, clinical chemistry, microbiology, or related fields, with sound professional judgment.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical abilities, and accuracy in testing and reporting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with healthcare teams.
- Ability to multitask, work efficiently under pressure, and handle sensitive patient information.
- Compassionate and patient-focused mindset with commitment to quality diagnostics.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (BMLS) or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
- Valid registration and practicing license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
- Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant laboratory experience in a clinical setting.
- Certification in relevant areas or additional training (e.g., quality management) is an added advantage.
