## Title: Kitchen Operations Internal Auditor
About the Role
The Kitchen Operations Internal Auditor is responsible for monitoring and evaluating all kitchen-related processes to ensure compliance with company policies, operational standards, and food safety regulations. This position focuses on cost control, inventory accuracy, waste reduction, and operational efficiency in the restaurant's kitchen and central production areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine audits of kitchen inventory (raw materials, perishables, packaging, etc.) to ensure accuracy and accountability
- Track daily consumption and reconcile with POS sales and kitchen production records
- Analyze food cost variance and investigate discrepancies
- Ensure all stock is properly documented using FIFO methodology and maintain updated wastage logs
- Monitor procurement and stock issuance to ensure alignment with budgets and standards
- Provide reports on kitchen performance metrics (yield, cost per dish, spoilage)
- Support monthly financial closing with accurate kitchen cost data
- Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure financial discipline and operational efficiency
- Recommend and implement controls to reduce waste, pilferage, and overproduction
- Ensure adherence to financial SOPs and audit compliance standards
