Kitchen Assistant at Azure Hotel and Suites

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic team at Azure Hotel and Suites in Lagos. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and efficiency of our kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards
• Adhere to all sanitation guidelines and recycling procedures
• Assist Cooks and Servers as needed
• Collect and remove trash from all areas following established procedures
• Dispose of waste according to hotel and authority standards
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of waste bin areas
• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, washing up, and emptying rubbish bins while ensuring proper placement in designated containers
• Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other minor kitchen equipment following established procedures
• Clean and maintain floors and walls in kitchen and dishwashing areas
• Clean and sanitize dishes and related serviceware following established procedures
• Clean large equipment as assigned
• Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order
• Clean, sanitize, and close workstations at the end of shifts
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times
• Complete other duties as assigned

Required Skills and Experience

• Knowledge and proficiency in operating industrial dishwashers
• Understanding of sanitation and hygiene standards
• Ability to follow established procedures consistently
• Strong attention to detail
• Physical capability to perform manual tasks and lift equipment safely

Two days on, two days off rotation
