## Title: Junior Associate, Natural Resource Governance

Position Summary

We are seeking a Junior Associate, Natural Resource Governance, who will play a pivotal role in driving positive change towards the sustainable management of natural resources. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on sustainable development and environmental conservation while fostering collaboration with diverse stakeholders including government agencies, NGOs, academia, and industry partners.

Key Responsibilities

Policy Development (40%)

  • Research, analyze, and stay abreast of national and international policies related to mining and natural resource governance
  • Develop and propose policies that enhance transparency, accountability, and sustainability in the extraction and utilization of natural resources

Research and Analysis (20%)

  • Conduct in-depth research on issues pertaining to natural resource governance, including legal frameworks, environmental impact, and socio-economic implications
  • Generate data-driven insights and contribute to the development of evidence-based strategies for effective resource management

Advocacy (20%)

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advocate for policy reforms and best practices in natural resource governance
  • Develop and implement advocacy campaigns to raise awareness and support for sustainable resource management

Training and Capacity Building (10%)

  • Design and deliver training programs for various stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and industry professionals, to enhance their understanding of natural resource governance principles
  • Build and strengthen the capacity of local communities to engage effectively in natural resource governance
