Janitor at The Oleaster

Position Overview

An established company is recruiting for a Janitor to maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards across all facility areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular spot checks during working hours to ensure all areas remain clean, safe, and presentable
• Perform monthly deep-cleaning activities, including cleaning ceiling fans, removing cobwebs, cutting grass, and thoroughly cleaning all indoor and outdoor areas
• Ensure all offices and workspaces are fully cleaned and ready for use by 8:00 a.m., before staff resume duty
• Clean all patient areas, including patient bedrooms, bathrooms, lounges, ward areas, and any other spaces used by inpatients
• Sweep the compound daily and ensure the entire hospital environment is neat and free from litter
• Manage waste properly by keeping waste bins covered, ensuring waste is stored at a distance that prevents bad odours, and maintaining a tidy waste area at all times
• Wash bedsheets, patient linens, and other materials as required
• Clean and maintain all designated facility areas, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and laundry
• Clean spills, broken glass, and any hazardous waste immediately to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff
• Ensure that all bathrooms and toilets, both patient and staff, are sanitary at all times
• Notify management promptly of any deficiencies, damages, or areas that require repair
• Submit requisitions for new cleaning supplies when items are low or need replacement
• Ensure regular and thorough cleaning of patient rooms, including beds, floors, furniture, and surrounding areas
• Carry out any other cleaning-related duties assigned by the Nurse in charge, clinicians, or management

Requirements

• Relevant qualifications and experience in janitorial or facility cleaning

Compensation

Salary: N70,000 per month
