IT Security Engineer at GVA Partners

About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated IT Security Engineer to lead cybersecurity initiatives and maintain secure IT infrastructure across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out procedural system maintenance on all IT systems
• Ensure all networks including LAN, MAN, WAN, and GAN meet company requirements
• Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and resolving hardware or software faults, and replace parts as needed
• Maintain all IT system workflows and IT network configurations
• Participate actively in developing, planning, and implementing advanced IT systems
• Lead cybersecurity initiatives in conjunction with the Group Cybersecurity team
• Design and implement security controls to safeguard and monitor events for information systems, enterprise applications, and data
• Lead the implementation of Information Security projects
• Drive internal and external vulnerability assessments and penetration testing engagements, managing results through to remediation
• Respond to escalated security events and drive security incident response processes to ensure timely resolution with minimal disruption
• Design, document, and deploy secure infrastructure solutions to enhance the security posture of the business and ensure integrity, availability, and confidentiality of critical enterprise data
• Provide expertise on security tools including firewalls, Web Application firewalls, IDS/IDP, and anti-malware software
• Liaise with stakeholders regarding operational implementation of security policies and best practices
• Collaborate with the Client Server Team to ensure technical plans are practical, controls are sustainable, and implementations minimize risks to servers, workstations, and user productivity
• Implement infrastructure, configurations, and processes to monitor security-related events and prevent data loss and service interruption
• Perform other duties as assigned
