IT Officer

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this role. Position Overview: The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support, ensuring system security, and supporting day-to-day technology operations. The role ensures smooth functioning of hardware, software, networks, and data systems across the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems, networks, printers, and software - Provide first-level and second-level technical support to employees - Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability - Manage user accounts, access rights, and permissions - Maintain data security, backups, and disaster recovery procedures - Update and manage antivirus, firewall, and security patches - Maintain IT inventory and documentation - Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT equipment and services - Support implementation of new systems, upgrades, and IT projects - Ensure compliance with company IT policies and relevant regulations Required Skills & Competencies - Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, MS Office, and basic networking - Understanding of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and network security concepts - Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills - Basic knowledge of servers, backups, and virtualization (preferred) - Good communication and user-support skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Required Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field - Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are an advantage Experience: 1–3 years of experience and above  in IT support or system administration
