Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional. The Investment Analyst will provide high-quality analytical, coordination, and research support to the Investment Promotion Lead across multiple mandates.
The role requires a high performing, globally minded professional capable of turning ideas into bankable opportunities by building pipelines, preparing documentation, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring engagements meet international standards in investment promotion, blended finance, and project development.
This position functions as the operational engine behind the Lead—translating strategy into structured analysis, clean documentation, dashboards, and consistent follow-through.
Key Responsibilities
Research, Market Intelligence & Knowledge Management
- Conduct sector and policy research across priority industries (e.g., agriculture, energy, infrastructure, creative economy, healthcare, manufacturing)
- Profile investors, DFIs, funds, corporates, and development partners, mapping mandates, instruments, ticket sizes, and recent transactions
- Track macroeconomic, regulatory, and policy developments relevant to investment promotion and blended finance in Nigeria and partner countries
- Maintain knowledge repositories including investor databases, pipeline trackers, sector briefs, and document libraries
- Prepare concise research notes, slide decks, and talking points for meetings, pitches, and workshops
Pipeline Development & Project Preparation
- Support the identification, screening, and classification of project/SME pipelines using agreed criteria
- Gather and organize data from project sponsors/SMEs (financials, business model, impact metrics, governance, legal structure)
- Contribute to project proposals, investment summaries, presentations, and reports in line with best practice
- Assist in risk assessment using structured frameworks (financial analysis, value chain mapping, risk registers)
