## Title: Inventory Officer
About the Role
This position offers a great opportunity for career growth within our inventory management operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage stock levels by monitoring and controlling inventory to ensure demand is met without overstocking
- Track inventory movement, recording the receipt, movement, and dispatch of all goods while ensuring items are only released with proper authorization
- Conduct regular physical counts and cycle counts to reconcile physical stock with computerized records
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, including quantities, locations, and quality using specialized software
- Generate reports detailing stock levels, variances, aging, and turnover rates to assess performance and inform purchasing decisions
- Inspect incoming shipments for quantity, quality, and damage, and verify them against purchase orders
- Organize and label inventory correctly to prevent damage, loss, or spoilage while ensuring efficient use of storage space
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations departments to ensure inventory aligns with company needs
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 2–3 years of work experience in inventory management or related role
Essential Skills
- Excellent math and analytical skills for reporting and discrepancy analysis
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with other departments and staff
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Physical ability to handle warehouse tasks, which may include lifting
