## Title: Inventory Accountant

Role Overview
Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will be responsible for managing inventory operations and financial reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance across all accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Track daily, weekly, and monthly inventory movements
- Generate and analyse inventory reports to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare financial reports including cash books, sales journals/registers, and bank reconciliation
- Ensure accuracy of all inventory reports
- Lead and oversee physical inventory counts
- Diagnose and investigate the causes of inventory variances
- Assist with internal audits
Required Qualifications
- Degree qualification in accounting or related field
- Minimum 2 years' post-qualification experience
Required Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of Sage software (basic or intermediate level)
- Proficiency in manual accounting entries including journals, asset registers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
- Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency with strong knowledge of formulas and ability to prepare accurate reports independently
- Strong numerical aptitude with ability to calculate large figures manually and in Excel with minimal errors
- Proven inventory management experience including:
- Routine physical stock taking
- Accurate inventory reporting
- Goods transfer records
- Goods received records
- Inventory additions and deductions
- Waybilling
