## Title: Inventory & Accounts Officer

About the Role

A reputable organization in the interiors and furniture sector seeks a dedicated Inventory & Accounts Officer. Our client is a major player in the Nigerian economy with a first-class reputation for top-of-the-range products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Track daily, weekly, and monthly inventory levels
  • Generate and analyse inventory reports to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Perform financial reporting including cash books, sales journals/registers, and bank reconciliation
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory reports and lead physical inventory counts
  • Diagnose causes of inventory variance
  • Assist with internal audits

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree qualification
  • Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience

Essential Skills & Knowledge

  • Proficiency in Sage software (basic to intermediate level)
  • Knowledge of manual accounting entries, journals, asset registers, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency
  • Strong numerical aptitude with ability to calculate large figures accurately (manually and using Excel) with minimal errors
  • Inventory management expertise including:
    • Routine physical stock taking
    • Accurate inventory reporting
    • Goods transfer and received records
    • Inventory additions and deductions
    • Waybilling procedures
