Internal Control Officer at Covenant Microfinance Bank Limited

Position Overview

This is a full-time on-site role located in Ogun State, Nigeria. We are seeking a motivated professional to join our team as an Internal Control Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular audits and evaluate the effectiveness of financial operations
• Implement and monitor internal controls across the organization
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Identify and assess organizational risks
• Prepare and provide internal reports on control findings and recommendations
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance internal processes and communication

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Banking & Finance
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in internal control, audit, or compliance
• Strong understanding of risk management and regulatory frameworks
• Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and professional ethics

Preferred Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with accounting software
