Key Responsibilities

• Conduct confidential investigations on control breaches
• Perform vault cash counts and register reconciliation
• Ensure physical cash correlates with system balances
• Balance and verify loan officers' and tellers' tills to zero
• Spool and investigate unchecked SMS reports and customer issues
• Spool weekly repayment reports and contact customers with previous day shortfalls (minimum 20 customers per week)
• Investigate reasons for failed repayments
• Check loan officers' tills for daily field postings
• Mark loan officers' ledgers
• Ensure all customer cash collections are deposited in correspondent banks with secure vault storage
• Verify and send disbursement advice to appropriate units
• Ensure adequate care and maintenance of bank properties
• Monitor organization-wide compliance with established policies, processes, and procedures
• Review and manage day-to-day attendance registers and operational issues
• Ensure Internal Audit Team implements defined strategies to accomplish departmental objectives
• Execute management-assigned tasks as required
• Assist with full-scale inspections and audits
• Conduct transaction call-overs and quality control checks
• Check loan officers' daily transactions
• Report all infractions affecting business operations
• Conduct random spot checks with other units to identify weaknesses or procedural deviations
• Query all anomalies discovered during spot checks
• Handle deceased customer reports
• Assess primary risks facing the bank and identify mitigation measures
• Manage risks associated with different bank units through enterprise risk management
• Follow up to ensure compliance with all observations
