Internal Auditor - Retail at Terawork

Role Summary

The Internal Auditor will execute assurance and advisory engagements for core and support business processes, ensuring compliance with internal audit standards and contributing to operational efficiency. The role requires knowledge of retail and FMCG operations, global internal audit standards, and strong analytical and control skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute internal audit and advisory engagements, including special requests from management
• Develop and document audit work programs, test controls, and draft findings
• Collaborate with audit team members and liaise with process owners on implementation of recommendations
• Maintain audit documentation, trackers, and utilize CAAT tools for efficient audits
• Ensure adherence to ethical standards and professional audit guidelines

Qualifications & Experience

• First degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Computer Science, or related field
• NYSC completed, with 3–5 years of experience in internal/external audit, risk, compliance, or controls
• Professional certifications (CIA, ACA, ACCA, CISA, CRMA, CFE) are a plus
• Experience in retail, FMCG, banking, insurance, or power industries is advantageous
