Internal Auditor at FINCA International

About the Role

FINCA Nigeria is recruiting an Internal Auditor to perform audit procedures including testing, evaluation, and improvement of risk management, control, and governance effectiveness. The successful candidate will report directly to the Corporate Audit Manager and participate in audit planning, execution, reporting of findings, and follow-up to ensure audit recommendations, management corrective action plans, and Board of Directors' resolutions are correctly implemented.

Essential Duties

• Carry out affiliate audit work plans
• Ensure timely follow-up of matters and issues arising from observations according to Audit Protocols
• Agree with managers and audited parties on the standards to be used for each audit performed
• Contribute to draft reports and summarize issues prepared by the Audit Manager
• Implement monitoring and review activities to ensure compliance
• Ensure audit practices align with Subsidiary Audit Committee and Global Audit Office policies
• Participate in emergency reviews and investigations in accordance with Global Audit guidelines
• Follow up to ensure findings are responded to and addressed; support the Subsidiary Audit Committee as required
• Collect, document, and submit observations concerning fraud to the Audit Manager
• Conduct procedures as part of risk management audits as required
• Accomplish duties delegated to auditors in accordance with schedules prepared by the Audit Manager
• Participate in ad hoc reviews and effectiveness evaluations as required
• Monitor practice and test controls; monitor compliance with all policies and procedures
• Provide detailed reports of expenses in accordance with Global Audit directives and subsidiary procedures
• Adhere to FINCA International directives
