Instrumentation and Controls Coordinator III - QIT at Scruples Resources

About the Role

We are recruiting an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Coordinator III to join our team in Lagos. This position requires a subject matter expert with a strong background in instrumentation, control systems, and process equipment within the oil and gas industry.

Main Functions

• Provide subject matter expertise to maintenance teams with a comprehensive understanding of safety, health, and environmental requirements (SSHE)
• Serve as technical expert for specific processes, procedures, and equipment, including instrumentation, control systems, and analyzers (I&C)
• Demonstrate strong maintenance skills and provide support for complex troubleshooting activities
• Participate in constructability and maintenance design reviews, providing guidance to engineering teams
• Support routine maintenance, turnaround operations, and new project initiatives
• Influence cross-functional teams and interact effectively with operations and maintenance organizations
• Apply significant experience in electrical, instrumentation, and controls installation with focus on adherence to applicable codes, standards, and design documents for oil and gas operations

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist contractors with clarification, interpretation, interference resolution, and QA/QC-related matters
• Confirm that equipment and materials arriving at site meet engineering specifications and required quantities
• Ensure instructions, drawings, and specifications for scope changes are issued in a timely manner
• Implement and maintain adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment Programs at all times
• Update and maintain site-wide deficiency lists for issuance at weekly construction meetings
• Participate in the turnover process by assembling completion checklists and relevant engineering and construction records

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Discipline-appropriate technical degree or equivalent professional experience
• Previous experience in a closely related position
• Expertise in instrumentation and control systems
• Knowledge of oil and gas industry standards and regulations
