Overview
We are seeking a qualified Instrumentation and Controls Coordinator III to join our team. In this role, you will provide expert technical support and coordination for instrumentation, control systems, and related equipment across maintenance, construction, and engineering activities.
Main Functions
The Instrumentation and Controls Coordinator serves as a subject matter expert for instrumentation, control systems, and analyzers (I&C equipment). Key responsibilities include:
- Providing subject matter expertise to maintenance teams on specific processes, procedures, technical matters, and equipment
- Demonstrating strong maintenance skills for instrumentation and control equipment types
- Providing support and guidance for complex troubleshooting activities
- Participating in constructability and maintenance design reviews
- Supporting engineering for routine maintenance, turnaround operations, and new project initiatives
- Influencing and collaborating effectively across operations and maintenance organizations
- Ensuring adherence to applicable codes, standards, and design documents within oil and gas business segments
- Maintaining a strong understanding of safety, health, and environmental (SSHE) requirements
Tasks and Responsibilities
In addition to Level 1 and 2 responsibilities, Level 3 coordinators will:
- Assist contractors with clarification, interpretation, interference resolution, and QA/QC related matters
- Confirm that equipment and materials arriving at site meet engineering specifications and quantities
- Ensure instructions, drawings, and specifications for scope changes are issued in a timely manner
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environment Programs are implemented and adhered to at all times
- Update site-wide deficiency lists for issuance at weekly construction meetings
- Participate in the turnover process by assembling completion checklists and other engineering and construction records
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Previous experience in a closely related position
- Strong behavioral skills including adaptability, analytical capability, collaboration, and effective communication
- Significant experience in electrical, instrumentation, and controls installation activities
