## Title: Instrument Maintenance Technician III

About the Role

Nautilus Nigeria Engineering and Construction Limited is recruiting an Instrument Maintenance Technician III to install and maintain instrument equipment while ensuring compliance with all applicable rules and practices. In this role, you will test and repair instrumentation systems used by production equipment, verify adherence to established performance standards, and maintain product quality through meticulous evaluation and documentation.

Main Functions

  • Install and maintain instrument equipment in full compliance with all rules and practices
  • Test and repair instrumentation systems utilized by production equipment
  • Ensure adherence to established performance levels and product quality standards
  • Evaluate instruments and establish repair plans
  • Document and verify problems and actions taken

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, update, and oversee all activities within assigned areas of responsibility in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and procedures, with special emphasis on health, safety, and environmental compliance
  • Support and encourage team effort across operations, engineering, and projects groups
  • Provide input on and review control specifications and work practices
  • Take responsibility and accountability for control systems as defined in the Work Management Manual
  • Apply and follow work permits through the Permit to Work System (PTWS) as outlined in the Work Management Manual
  • Ensure quality and timely completion of work scheduled by the Maintenance Program
  • Develop personal and team technical skills, including knowledge of new regulations, equipment, and methods
  • Attend and instruct technical meetings as needed to keep instrument technicians informed of the latest specifications, codes, procedures, and technology
  • Develop and maintain open communication with co-workers on control issues, including safe work practices, training, and materials
  • Support work prioritization to maximize effectiveness and complement the efforts of other work groups
  • Provide technical support to other technicians for maintenance and troubleshooting on company instrument systems
  • Generate Management of Change requests (MOCs) for control-related equipment and installations, and follow up with installation inspections
