An established company is recruiting for the following position. Position Overview: - The Industrial Electrician will beresponsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and components in a constructionenvironment. - The primary goal is to ensure maximum equipment uptime while adhering to strict safety protocols and Nigerian Electrical Standards. You will handle everything from high-voltage power distribution to delicate PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems. Key Responsibilities: - Installation & Commissioning: Install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures. - Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on motors, transformers, generators, and control systems to prevent unplanned downtime. - Troubleshooting: Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem. - PLC & Automation: Program, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) to ensure automated production lines run efficiently. - Compliance: Ensure all electrical work meets the National Electrical Code (NEC) and factory-specific safety standards. - Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all electrical repairs, inspections, and inventory of electrical components. Requirements: - Education: HND / B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, or a Trade Test I, II, & III certification. - Applicant must reside in Port Harcourt. - Experience: Minimum of 10years of experience as an electrician in a manufacturing or factory environment. - Technical Proficiency: - Deep understanding of 3-phase power systems and motor controls. - Ability to read and interpret complex electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams. - Experience with industrial automation (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or Schneider Electric systems). - Tool Usage: Proficiency using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, and thermal imaging cameras.
