IGCSE Sciences Teacher (Physics) at Collins American International Academy - CAIA

About the Role

Collins American International Academy is expanding its dynamic team and seeking an experienced IGCSE Physics Teacher. In this role, you will deliver the Cambridge International curriculum to secondary school students, create engaging lesson plans, assess student progress, and foster a learning environment that promotes critical thinking and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach IGCSE Physics in alignment with Cambridge standards
• Design and implement structured lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including mock exams and the IGCSE exams
• Maintain discipline and create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
• Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and feedback to help students reach their full potential
• Participate in training, workshops, and school events to stay updated with educational best practices
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and school leadership to support student learning and school goals

Educational Requirements

• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Physics, Education, or a related field
• Preferred: Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Highly desirable: Cambridge IGCSE training or certification

Experience

• Minimum: 1 year of teaching experience, preferably in an international or IGCSE curriculum school
• Preferred: Experience preparing students for IGCSE exams with a proven track record of academic success

Essential Skills

• Strong knowledge of IGCSE Physics content
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and adapt teaching methods to student needs
• Skilled in designing and grading assessments aligned with IGCSE standards
• Effective classroom management and student engagement techniques
