Igbo Language Teacher at De Mould Academy

We are looking for a qualified candidate to fill this position. Key Responsibilities - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Igbo language lessons for JSS and SSS classes. - Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson notes, and assessment materials. - Conduct continuous assessments, exams, and provide timely feedback to students. - Foster an inclusive, interactive classroom environment that encourages fluency in reading, writing, listening, and speaking. - Participate in school-wide cultural events, clubs, and extracurricular activities. - Maintain accurate records of student progress and report to parents/guardians. - Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum and teaching standards. Requirements - B.A. (Education) / B.A. Igbo Language or related degree; NTE (Nigeria Teacher Education) is a plus. - Minimum 1-4 years of teaching Igbo at secondary level. - Excellent command of spoken and written Igbo and English. - Strong classroom management and communication skills. - Ability to integrate cultural values and modern teaching methodologies. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
