ICT Teacher (Elementary) at Halifield Schools

Position Overview

Halifield Schools is seeking a qualified ICT Teacher for its Elementary section. This role involves teaching Computer Studies and Information and Communication Technology to students, with responsibility for curriculum delivery, student assessment, and ICT lab management.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Studies and Information and Communication Technology as assigned
• Plan, prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate students' progress
• Establish clear learning objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate these to students
• Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests
• Use experiments, practical, and project-based teaching approaches to enhance student learning
• Promote high academic standards in accordance with approved benchmarks
• Develop short and long-term plans to ensure each student works towards set learning goals
• Mark exercise books promptly and provide necessary corrections
• Set relevant targets to address individual student needs and remediate academic gaps
• Monitor student attendance, note-taking, assignments, classwork, and projects
• Update statutory records including Scheme of Work, Attendance Register, Mark Sheets, and student development domains
• Ensure the classroom is a safe learning environment with safe equipment and awareness of students' specific needs
• Manage all ICT equipment and resources assigned to you
• Take responsibility for all student laptops stored in the ICT lab
• Ensure internet service availability throughout the school
• Manage all IT hardware and software issues in the school
• Liaise with and monitor activities of external IT consultants
• Promote student welfare and well-being
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• First degree or equivalent qualification in Information Technology or related field
